Dutch & Flemish Masterworks exhibition at the Palace of the Legion of Honor

In anticipation of my time in The Netherlands, today I took a trip to the Palace of the Legion of Honor to see a traveling exhibition of Dutch and Flemish artwork. A majority of the pieces, excluding the floral paintings, were so astonishingly realistic that from a distance I frequently mistook them photographs despite being painted more than two centuries prior to the development of the daguerreotype. I am looking forward to seeing more Dutch and Flemish artwork in and around the Benelux area during my time in Europe.
